There was this guy named Richard Proenneke, in the late 1960’s he moved to Alaska. He trekked into the wilderness miles away from civilization and built himself a log Cabin by hand. He lived there for 35 years in peace, alone, in the wilderness without having any interactions with civilization with the exception of a pilot who brought him supplies. I’ve been told that this is illegal by today’s laws and regulations in Alaska – and that you can be fined big time if they catch you doing it. Does anyone know if this is true?
So much food is wasted on cruises every year..
Maybe cruise companies can start donating wasted food at ports?
What’s wrong with donating the food at the port areas for human consumption?
If it’s going to be thrown out anyway, why not?
We want to go to the caribbean and stay at an all inclusive caribbean resort. What are the best islands in the Caribbean. Nothing too pricy but still good quality and can accomodate kids ages(12-17) as well.
We are looking to take a cruise next Spring and would like to know what cruise line is the best for teens but we don’t want the ship to be full of college spring breakers. What cruise line is good for families? We want to go the Caribbean prefer Western leaving from a FL port. Would like a newer ship and don’t mind spending a little bit more for nicer room/balcony and a ship with more teen friendly amenities.
I just participated on an automated 10 question phone survey where after completion they offered a complimentary cruise vacation for 2 days/2 nights to Nassau/Bahamas leaving from Ft Lauderdale. The cruise ship is the Regal Empress from Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines.
Has anyone been on this ship?
Has anyone ever participated in a deal like this?
I don’t believe this to be anything relating to time-share or anything where I would need to participate in a 90 min program. However, I’m not sure.
The survey just asked very generic questions, and did not ask for anything personal or any credit card information. Someone from the cruise line is supposed to call me to finalize all the accomodations in a few days.
It just sounds a little too good to be true.
((and I know it’s not going to be a large new ship and that’s ok, as this will be my first cruise))
As you all probably already know, Latino is not a race it’s a culture. I am Latino/Hispanic my whole family is Catholic and we all speak Spanish, however my last name is originally Mediterranean. I know others just like me. Although I am Hispanic I’ve seen some Persian guys who look just like me. What’s to stop some ignorant ass government official to mistake me or my family from being an Islamic terrorist even tho I am not Middle Eastern?
My husband is coming back from Iraq soon and I am planning a cruise. We never got a chance to have a honeymoon and I thought that would be a great welcome home present and sort of a late honeymoon. This will be our first trip together and I want it to be very romantic. Which room should we get (meaning like oceanview ,balcony.etc)? and what is the best cruise line to go on?
We are looking to book a cruise in September/October, it will be our first cruise. We are looking at a Cranival Cruise to Grand Caymen and Ochios Rios. Is this a good one? Good line? There are so many to choose from. And the ship is supposed to be a big deal, this is on Freedom. Thanks for the help.
